Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to vehicle reservations made directly with Carvo LLC.

Cancellations

Reservations canceled more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund.

Reservations canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee disclosed during booking.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the renter’s bank or payment provider.

Carvo Cancellations

If Carvo cancels a confirmed reservation because the vehicle is unavailable and a comparable replacement cannot be provided, the renter will receive a full refund of amounts paid toward the affected reservation.

Early Returns

Returning a vehicle before the scheduled return date or time does not automatically qualify the renter for a refund for unused rental time.

Any early-return refund is subject to Carvo approval unless otherwise required by law.

Security Deposit Refunds

Carvo may require a refundable security deposit equal to one daily rental rate plus 20% of that daily rate, unless otherwise disclosed during booking.

After the vehicle is returned, Carvo will review the rental for any outstanding charges that may apply, including:

  • Excess mileage

  • Missing fuel

  • Late-return charges

  • Excessive cleaning

  • Tolls or citations

  • Missing equipment

  • Other permitted charges

Any remaining refundable deposit balance will be released or refunded after the return review is completed.

Vehicle Return Requirements

Vehicles must be returned:

  • To the approved return location

  • By the scheduled return time

  • With approximately the same fuel level provided at pickup

  • With all keys and equipment provided

  • Without newly caused damage beyond ordinary wear

  • In a condition that does not require excessive cleaning

Late Returns

Carvo provides a 30-minute grace period after the scheduled return time.

Late-return charges may apply after the grace period in accordance with the Rental Agreement and Carvo Terms of Service.

Mileage

Each rental includes 200 miles per rental day.

Additional mileage is charged at $0.45 per mile.

Excess mileage charges are not refundable once properly incurred.

Fuel

Vehicles must be returned with approximately the same fuel level provided at pickup.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter may be charged the reasonable cost to restore the vehicle to the original fuel level.

Cleaning

Normal vehicle cleaning is included in the rental.

Additional cleaning charges may apply when specialized cleaning is required because of conditions such as:

  • Excessive pet hair

  • Strong odors

  • Significant stains

  • Seat or carpet shampooing

  • Bodily fluids

  • Vomit

  • Cannabis or other substance residue

  • Excessive trash or debris

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in Carvo vehicles.

If smoking or vaping results in odor, ash, residue, burns, or other contamination requiring specialized remediation, a charge of up to $200 may apply, subject to applicable law.

Pets

Pets are permitted unless otherwise stated for a specific vehicle.

There is no automatic pet fee.

Additional cleaning charges may apply if pet use results in excessive hair, odor, waste, staining, or other conditions requiring specialized cleaning.
